VOLUNTEER & HObbies
I like to do personal creative side projects and give back to my immediate community.
I think it's important to stay curious, explore, connect with different cultures and people, and to simply try new things for your entire life.
Big Brother Big Sister (LA) - Jesse & PAUL
As a volunteer for Big Brother Big Sisters Los Angeles, I was a mentor to Jesse for over four years while he was in middle school and high school. Jesse was the first in his family lineage to graduate high school and attend to a four year college. Jesse is now a sophomore at Cal State Polytechnic University Pomona.
Every other week, Jesee and I would hang out and I would show him around LA . We would do “Big Brother” activities such as play basketball, baseball, bowling, cook, run in 5Ks, go hiking, play board games, go to amusement parks, and more. I still frequently stay in touch with Jesse and his family to this day and consider him one of my good friends.
in 2023, Jesse and I were recognized as the “Match of the Quarter” by the Big Brother Big Sister LA Board of Directors in Beverly Hills, CA at the non-profit’s quarterly board meeting.

The mission of Big Brother Big Sister is to:
“…create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people reach their full potential. BBBS also aims to develop positive relationships that have a lasting impact on the lives of young people…”
Music
I love music. It's a huge part of my life. My main hobby has been to DJ and produce electronic music. I've taken two courses at Slam Academy Music School in Minneapolis and have spun tracks at local clubs and small house parties in Los Angeles and Minneapolis.
I like all types of music but I especially love anything that sets a distinct mood, evokes emotion, is left-of-center, or makes me dance.
